In a major development, India’s National Investigation Agency (NIA) has made its first arrest in the Red Fort blast case: Amir Rashid Ali, identified as a close associate of the alleged suicide bomber, Dr. Umar Nabi. Investigators say Ali helped acquire the Hyundai i20 car that exploded near Delhi’s Red Fort on November 10, acting as a key conspirator. Forensic analysis established that the vehicle was used as an improvised explosive device (IED), and the remains of the driver have been confirmed to be those of Dr. Nabi, a medical academic.
