In a major diplomatic stride to bolster regional cooperation and uplift local communities, India has signed 13 new Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with the Maldives under Phase III of the High Impact Community Development Project (HICDP). With a grant commitment of MVR 100 million (approximately Rs. 55.28 crore), the initiative aims to enhance ferry services across the archipelago, expand maritime connectivity, and improve livelihoods.
