An alleged assault on a senior official of the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) has ignited widespread outrage across Odisha, intensifying political tensions and raising serious concerns about administrative safety. Ratnakar Sahu, Additional Commissioner of BMC and a senior Odisha Administrative Service (OAS) officer, was reportedly attacked inside his office by a group of men linked to a BJP Corporator.

An IndiGo flight scheduled to depart from Indore to Bhubaneswar with 140 passengers onboard was delayed by over an hour on Monday morning due to a minor technical issue detected just before takeoff. The flight, designated 6E 6332, was preparing for departure when the pilots identified the issue and returned the aircraft to the apron. Engineers promptly addressed the glitch, allowing the plane to resume operations and take off at 10:16 a.m., nearly an hour past its scheduled departure.
