Sri Lanka’s Prime Minister, during a high-level visit to Delhi, emphasized the need to upgrade the India-Sri Lanka Free Trade Agreement (FTA) to enhance bilateral trade and economic cooperation. The discussions highlighted opportunities to expand market access, reduce trade barriers, and strengthen investment flows between the two nations. With India being Sri Lanka’s largest trading partner, the FTA’s modernization is expected to stimulate exports, diversify supply chains, and support economic recovery in both countries.
