Vodafone Idea posted a net loss of Rs. 6,608 crore for the April–June quarter, reflecting ongoing financial strain despite gradual improvements in operational metrics. The loss was driven by elevated finance costs, significant network expansion expenses, and sustained competitive pressures in the telecom sector. Revenue for the quarter showed marginal growth, supported by higher average revenue per user (ARPU) and targeted tariff adjustments. However, the company continues to grapple with debt servicing challenges and capital requirements for 4G and 5G infrastructure rollout.
