Ola Electric has officially launched deliveries of its highly anticipated Roadster X series, a landmark entry into India’s electric motorcycle segment. With prices starting at Rs. 99,999 and top variants offering over 500 km of range on a single charge, the lineup is designed to revolutionize urban commuting. The first 5,000 customers are being offered benefits worth Rs. 10,000, including extended warranties and service perks. This launch underscores Ola’s growing ambitions in the EV market and marks a significant milestone in India’s transition to clean mobility. The Roadster X is developed entirely in India and tailored to next-gen riders.

Ola Unveils Roadster X Lineup to Transform Electric Mobility

Ola Electric has officially commenced deliveries of its Roadster X series, a futuristic range of electric motorcycles aimed at redefining the two-wheeler experience in India. The launch marks Ola’s bold foray into the electric motorcycling segment, complementing its existing success in electric scooters.

The Roadster X series introduces five variants, starting from Rs. 99,999 for the 2.5kWh model. Higher-end versions include the 3.5kWh model at Rs. 1,09,999, the 4.5kWh at Rs. 1,24,999, and the Roadster X+ 4.5kWh at Rs. 1,29,999. The flagship Roadster X+ 9.1kWh variant, powered by Ola’s proprietary 4680 Bharat Cell battery technology, boasts a range of 501 km per charge and is priced at Rs. 1,99,999.

Built in India, Built for the Future

According to Bhavish Aggarwal, Chairman and Managing Director of Ola Electric, the Roadster X is not just a product launch—it’s a paradigm shift. “The Roadster X is a bold leap, marking our entry into the motorcycling segment. It’s designed, engineered, and built in India for a generation that wants to ride the bike of the future,” Aggarwal said in a statement.

Positioned as a flagship innovation, the motorcycle series blends cutting-edge EV technology with sleek design and localized manufacturing. This approach not only reduces costs but strengthens India’s self-reliance in high-tech vehicle production.

Early Bird Offers to Boost Adoption

To attract early adopters, Ola is rolling out exclusive benefits for the first 5,000 customers under its “Ride the Future” campaign. The Rs. 10,000 package includes an extended warranty, MoveOS+ software upgrades, and a complimentary essential care package, making the offering more appealing to value-conscious consumers.

These incentives are aligned with Ola’s broader mission to accelerate electric vehicle adoption across urban and semi-urban landscapes in India, especially among young and tech-savvy commuters.

Strategic Positioning in India’s EV Ecosystem

Ola Electric’s strategic shift into the electric motorcycle space comes at a time when the Indian EV market is witnessing exponential growth, particularly in the two-wheeler segment. By offering a range of price points and extended mileage options, Ola is targeting a broad customer base—from city riders to long-distance commuters.

The integration of the 4680 Bharat Cell in its top-tier model further underscores Ola’s investment in indigenous battery technology, which could significantly influence both performance standards and cost efficiencies in the domestic EV market.

Conclusion: Roadster X Paves the Way for Next-Gen Urban Mobility

With the Roadster X, Ola Electric is not merely entering the motorcycle market—it is redefining it. Backed by state-of-the-art engineering, competitive pricing, and a compelling benefits package, the launch could prove to be a game-changer in India's electric mobility narrative.

As Ola leverages its growing manufacturing capabilities and tech ecosystem, the Roadster X stands as a clear statement of intent: to lead India’s transition from internal combustion to clean, efficient, and sustainable transportation. Whether it’s the daily office commute or weekend leisure rides, the Roadster X is engineered to meet the aspirations of the modern Indian rider.
