MakeMyTrip, one of India’s most prominent online travel platforms, has firmly rejected allegations questioning its ownership structure and data privacy practices. The controversy erupted following a social media post by EaseMyTrip co-founder Nishant Pitti, who implied that Indian armed forces’ travel data might be at risk due to Chinese ownership links. In response, MakeMyTrip reaffirmed its status as an Indian-founded, India-headquartered entity with operations led by a local leadership team.
