Tragedy at a Local Ground: Kanpur Cricket Official Dies After Bee Attack

A local cricket match in Kanpur ended in tragedy after an umpire affiliated with the Kanpur Cricket Association died following a sudden bee attack at the venue. The incident occurred during routine play,s, sending players and officials into panic as the victim collapsed after being stung multiple times. Despite immediate efforts to provide medical assistance, the umpire could not be revived.

The MoU, signed between the Uttar Pradesh Cooperative Dairy Federation (PCDF) and NDDB, involves the operational handover of three key dairy plants in Kanpur, Gorakhpur, and Kannauj, as well as a feed production facility in Ambedkar Nagar.

UP Unveils Ambitious Urban Expansion Plan, Eyes Metro Growth and Rs. 900 Cr Convention Centre

In a major push toward infrastructure-led urban development, the Uttar Pradesh government has announced the phased launch of new housing projects across 12 districts including Lucknow, Agra, Kanpur, and Jhansi between June and December 2025. The initiative is part of the "Mukhyamantri Urban Expansion/New City Promotion Scheme." During a high-level review meeting, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath directed strict adherence to timelines, emphasized integration of GIS-based planning, and accelerated approvals for pending construction maps.
