After a 14-year hiatus, the prestigious Gaddar Awards have made a grand comeback to recognize outstanding achievements in Telugu cinema from 2014 to 2023. The awards ceremony, scheduled for June 14 at Hyderabad’s Hitex, celebrates a wide array of cinematic talents—from actors and directors to technical experts. ‘Kalki’ won Best Film, with Allu Arjun and Nivetha Thomas securing top acting honors. In a fiercely competitive pool of 1,248 nominated films, Kalki emerged as the Best Film, applauded for its compelling narrative and technical finesse. Pottel and Lucky Bhaskar secured the titles of Best Second Film and Best Third Film, respectively. Among individual accolades, Allu Arjun received the Best Actor award for his riveting portrayal in Pushpa 2, while Nivetha Thomas earned Best Leading Actress for Chinna Katha Kadu. Notably, Nag Ashwin was honored as Best Director for his work on Kalki, highlighting a blend of visionary storytelling and technical expertise.
