The 35,000-square-foot unit will manufacture key drone subsystems and components, strengthening the country's domestic UAV production capabilities. The facility’s launch was complemented by the unveiling of 300 Centres of Excellence across India and a nationwide Train-the-Trainer program aimed at nurturing drone expertise.

Garuda Aerospace Secures ₹100 Crore in Series B Funding to Propel Drone Innovation

Garuda Aerospace, the Chennai-based drone technology firm backed by former Indian cricket captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni, has announced a successful Series B funding round, raising ₹100 crore (approximately $12 million). This investment, led by Venture Catalysts, values the company at $250 million and is poised to significantly enhance its manufacturing capabilities and research and development (R&D) initiatives. The funds will be allocated towards scaling up production facilities and establishing an advanced R&D center focused on next-generation defense drone technologies.
