In a significant move to bolster its 4G and 5G services, telecom giant Vodafone Idea (Vi) has entered into a strategic partnership with Cisco, aimed at enhancing its network infrastructure. This collaboration, part of Vi’s broader Rs 30,000 crore investment plan in network expansion, will see the deployment of Cisco’s Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS)-based transport network. Although the financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, this partnership signifies a key step in Vodafone Idea’s efforts to stay competitive in the rapidly evolving telecommunications market.
