Veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan has reportedly acquired a parcel of land in Ayodhya, underscoring the city’s rising prominence as a real estate destination. The investment comes amid heightened economic activity following infrastructure expansion and religious tourism growth linked to the Ram Mandir. Prime Minister Narendra Modi hoisted the saffron flag atop the Ayodhya Ram Temple today, symbolizing the completion of the landmark construction project. The event marks a historic milestone in the decades-long endeavor to establish the temple, which has significant cultural, religious, and architectural importance in India. Authorities organized a ceremonial program attended by dignitaries and devotees, emphasizing the temple’s role in promoting heritage tourism and regional development.

AppsForBharat, the parent company of devotional platform Sri Mandir, has secured Rs. 175 crore (approximately USD 20 million) in a Series C funding round led by Susquehanna Asia Venture Capital. Existing investors, including Nandan Nilekani-backed Fundamentum, Elevation Capital, and Peak XV Partners, also participated. The funds will be directed toward scaling operations across over 20 major temple towns in India, enhancing logistics, and integrating AI-driven features to boost user engagement.

After an eight-year hiatus, Ayodhya’s circle rates have been significantly revised, witnessing increases ranging from 30% to 200%, with the sharpest hikes occurring within a 10-kilometre radius of the Ram Janmabhoomi Temple. The new rates, effective immediately, reflect the growing demand driven by religious tourism and infrastructure expansion. This recalibration affects residential, commercial, and agricultural land values differently, enhancing transparency in real estate transactions and improving property valuations.

Aurika Residences Pvt. Ltd., a real estate firm based in Noida, has announced a Rs. 100 crore investment in a premium hospitality and retail project in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh. The development will feature 150 serviced suites, managed by Best Western Hotels, and 16,500 square feet of retail space. Strategically located on the spiritual 14 Koshi Parikrama Marg, the project is positioned to leverage the city’s exponential growth in religious tourism.
