The Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) has expanded its operational footprint to Patna, Raipur, and Dehradun, aiming to strengthen India’s agricultural export ecosystem. The move seeks to support local farmers, food processors, and exporters by providing easier access to APEDA’s services, including quality certification, export facilitation, and market linkages. Analysts note that this regional expansion could enhance export volumes of key commodities such as fruits, vegetables, spices, and processed foods.

AI Express is set to strengthen its domestic footprint by introducing new direct flights to Ahmedabad, Chandigarh, and Dehradun, enhancing connectivity across key Tier-I and Tier-II cities. The expansion aligns with the airline’s strategic objective to serve growing passenger demand in business, leisure, and transit travel segments. These routes are expected to improve access for travelers while contributing to regional tourism and commerce.

In a strategic move to elevate Uttarakhand's local economy and promote indigenous products, Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan inaugurated a flagship outlet of House of Himalayas—an umbrella brand for hill-based goods—at Jolly Grant Airport. This initiative, aimed at expanding market access for regional farmers and artisans, also includes plans to establish a Centre of Excellence for research and promotion.
